What is the normal hire period? We work with you on the hire period. Typically, we would deliver the light to you on the morning of your event and pick it up the following morning. In most cases this tends to be a 24 hour period.
THE LOVE LIGHT NZ – INFORMATION AND TERMS & CONDITIONS
Our vintage Love light is available for hire all year around. We currently deliver and install anywhere within the North Island. The Love Light measures approx 2.2m tall, 3.4m wide and 1.6m deep. It has 79 light bulbs and weighs approx. 100 kilos off its stand. The light is completely handmade with a beautiful vintage finish, which makes it truly unique. The Love Light is completely safe and has passed NZ safety standards. Compliance certificate available on request.
TERMS & CONDITIONS PRICE
The Love Light is $799 to hire. (Please see more details in ‘Hire Period’). The artificial floral garland (used to display on top of the light) is $150 to hire. This is an optional piece which is draped across the top of the light. Please see more images via our website.
We provide free delivery within the Hawkes Bay area. For Delivery around the North Island a Delivery flat fee of $250 would apply, inclusive of GST. If your event is more than a four hour journey for us to deliver, we may charge an extra $199. This charge is to cover accommodation expenses. Please email us if you have any questions about this charge.
We may also charge an extra fee if there a more than two stairs for us to enter into your chosen venue. The reason we may need to include this charge is to cover in labour costs, as we need to have more staff with us to install the light. The light is extremely heavy, and would need four or more people to lift it up stairs. Please email us if you have any questions regarding this. (On a side note, most venues will have a ramp option for us to wheel the light or another entry point rather than stairs. Please check this with your venue coordinator).
If you require a generator to supply power to The Love Light, we can supply this for an extra $150.00 (inc GST).
No other generator or extension leads may be used in conjunction with The Love Light. Failure to comply to these requirements may result in a forfeiture of your bond, plus any additional costs for damages.
We ask for 50% payment upon booking The Love Light. with the remaining 50% to be paid one week prior to your event. We do offer 6 or 12 week payments plans as an alternative payment option, please speak to us about your needs. You will be emailed an invoice which will include the hire amount, delivery cost, plus any extras like a generator or floral garland. Your payment should include your name and the invoice number.
Your booking will be confirmed once our Information and Terms & Conditions have been signed and your deposit payment has been received or payment plan automatic payment has been initiated. If your payment of the light hire and the signed Terms & Conditions have not been received within 5 days of a tentative booking, The Love Light NZ reserves the right to cancel the booking and release the date to others. Tentative bookings are not binding to either party.
Your security bond (more in information below), is due one week before your event. We will email you an invoice.
Any form of payment to The Love Light NZ is deemed as acceptance of all of the terms and conditions of this agreement, thereby confirming your booking. Where applicable, and at the sole discretion of The Love Light NZ, the security bond will be refunded to you after the safe return and inspection of our light. In case of loss or damage, we will deduct from the Security Bond the amount needed to cover damages or loss. If the loss or damage exceeds the amount of the security bond, you agree to pay the additional costs charged by us for these losses and damages within 7 days. We may also charge for late return of our light, as explained in the ‘Hire Period.’
A security bond of $500 will be added to the total, this will be refunded via bank transfer once The Love Light is picked up in its original condition. Please note the security bond needs to be transferred to our account one week before your event. It will refunded as soon as the light has returned with no damages.
The Love Light NZ takes no responsibility for any injury to any party during the hire period. Please include your bank account number for bond transfer on our booking sheet.
We work with you on the hire period. Typically, we would deliver the light to you on the morning of your event and pick it up the following morning. In most cases this tends to be a 24 hour period. You will need to specify on your booking form when you would like us to deliver, including the venue name, address and contact details. It will be your responsibility to communicate with your venue that The Love Light will be displayed at your event and confirm with us set up times for us to come in and install The Love Light.
Please ensure that we will be able to install The Love Light at your venue by confirming entrance heights and widths with your coordinator. The entry points of the venue need to be given to us prior to booking to ensure the light can fit through doorways. The door way needs to be at least 2m high and 2m wide. If there is any ramps or stairs this also needs to be clarified with us before booking. If your entry points are smaller than these dimensions, we may still be able to install The Love Light. Please check with us. Even if you are planning on displaying the light outdoors, please be aware that weather conditions may change at any point, therefore the light will need to be able to fit inside your given venue.
Please be specific with us in regards to where you would like the light set up. If needed, please draw a diagram so we ensure the light is set up where you would like it.
If you need the light for more than 24 hours please let us know.
The light must be available for our team to pick up the morning after your event (unless discussed prior). If the light is not available for pick up, you will be charged at a full additional hire.
The Love Light is not waterproof. It can not be displayed outside in damp weather conditions. If it is forecasted to rain we will not display the light outdoors, even if this is what you have requested. If The Love Light is outside and the forecast is clear but it begins to rain, it will be YOUR responsibility to move the light indoors. To move the light you will need to turn off the light at the back and unplug it, remove the black skirting, unlock the wheels and wheel it indoors. You may need two people to shift the light. Please do not move the light by pushing against the light itself. Please use the frame to push the light as it is fragile. Once moved, please lock the wheels, place the skirting back on and turn on the light.
Please do not sit on the light or put anything heavy on the light. You may sit on the skirting around the light for photographs, but please do not stand or lean on the light itself.
We accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or injury sustained by the client, or any other parties resulting from moving the light.
The light may have flowers displayed on top of it, but please do not place burning candles or anything heavy that may damage the light. Please ensure no one touches the bulbs as they can get quite warm. This may be a hazard for children so please keep this in mind.
No other generator or extension lead may be used in conjunction with The Love Light. Failure to comply to these requirements may result in a forfeiture of your bond, plus any additional costs for damages.
At the end of your event, please have your event coordinator or someone designated to switch off the light when you leave your venue. This is very important, so please add this to your ‘to do list’.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Except where The Love Light NZ is in breach of a guarantee in terms of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Hirer is entering into this contract acknowledges that in all other circumstances The Love Light NZ shall not be liable for direct or consequential damage, loss, or expense arising from the operation of The Love Light.
If during the hire period, the Client moves, adjusts, rearranges The Love Light installed by us we accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or injury sustained by the Client, or any other parties resulting from such activities.
Cancellations will incur the full payment fee. We can not provide a refund under any circumstance.
